In An Instant

You never realize how precious life is...until something catastrophic happens. A terrible tragedy that rocks you to the very core. To love and to live life to the fullest is what we hear day to day but don't truly understand it; don't appreciate the magnitude of its meaning. It's the unfortunate lesson we learn in life. This morning I woke up to find out that a childhood friend of mine had lost his wife to a long battle with cancer. It instantly saddened my heart; the grief he must be feeling. To lose a love so early on in life; so uncomprehensible. I know his love for her has always been to the fullest; a love so pure and immense that words could not describe. And to lose that in an instant, whether it was expected or not, could really make you think if you truly did show the love of your life all that you could of yourself; your heart.
With all the things that could happen in our lives, why not take every opportunity to tell the people that mean the most to us that we love them. To hold them close, to cherish every moment we have with them. To laugh often, to be happy, to make choices in our life that make a significantly positive impact on others. Why wouldn't we? What do we have to lose? With the crazy busling of today and everyone always on the go, why not take a moment to truly appreciate what you have. Take those moments to make them into memories. Live life to it's fullest potential. Stay positive and look at the brighter side of life. Because what you have today, may not be true tomorrow. Give all that you are to the world to see. In the end, you will make this world a better, brighter place than you came into it with. And who wouldn't want to get the best of you.
